Camp Director
Janice Black was raised in Rockbridge County, Virginia. She attended Mary Baldwin College where she graduated Cum Laude in 1993 with a B.A. in Sociology and is a licensed educator (Pre-K – 4th). Janice was hired by Lexington City Schools in 1994 and has been teaching first grade at Waddell Elementary School since. For several years, she has taught younger students in Waddell’s summer school program. This will be Janice’s second year as WCM’s Summer Camp director.
Janice lives in Lexington with her two daughters and sweet dog. She enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, biking and kayaking. Janice is excited for another summer at Woods Creek Montessori!
