Director’s Parent Letter: Week Ending with October 30th

Dear Parents:

I wanted to let you know that the Woods Creek Board recently voted in favor of a new policy change for after school which will be effective for the 2016-2017 school year. The policy states that families with two or more children at WCM enrolled in a five day program (full school day including after school) pay only one family after school rate.

Tomorrow (10/30), WCM will celebrate Halloween at school. Your children are encouraged to come to school in costume tomorrow. If your child’s costume is cumbersome for lunch or playground purposes, please send a change of clothes. Please also be sure your child’s costume is not too scary for our younger friends on campus.

One of our after school teachers Danielle Houghson is involved in a lego study for 6 to 8 year olds through Washington and Lee. All participants will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win $20 in addition to benefiting research on child development. Please email fulcherlab@gmail.com to set up an appointment for your child to participate.

Volunteer Projects

We are looking for a parent volunteer to assemble a Melissa and Doug wooden kitchen for the Toddler classroom.

We would love to have parent volunteers come rake leaves on our campus any weekend. Leaves would need to be placed in clear plastic bags and left by trash cans in our parking lot.
