Director’s Parent Letter: Week Ending with September 26th

Dear Parents:

As harvest time arrives to our beautiful valley, the staff at WCM gathered this week to reflect on a positive start to the school year. For the children, gather time in the classrooms is a meaningful part of every day in the Montessori tradition and it is a foundation of our sense of community. We are particularly grateful for the volunteer efforts of our teachers and parents during the past few weeks.

Here’s a great way to earn three hours of volunteer time…. On Saturday, October 4th, from 1 to 4 pm we will be having a campus work day. W&L student volunteers from the Nabors Service League will be helping us to spread mulch around the playground, pressure wash buildings and porches, and a variety of other needed campus projects. We could use help with additional parent volunteers on this day. Please let me know if you would be able to join us.

The Tubb Family generously has offered their property for our Harvest Hike and Pumpkin Carving on Saturday, October 18th. Please click on this for directions and more details. All families who attend are asked to bring a dish to share. We hope to see you at this WCM gathering on October 18th!

Volunteer Project:

Primary Classroom Project: Kitty’s room needs doors mounted on one of her wall cabinets. We have purchased doors and need someone to mount them on cabinet.
