Dear Parents:
It is often said that we are a nation of immigrants. Perhaps this explains the popularity of St. Patrick’s Day. On March 17 we feel inspired by a celebration of family heritage, and for one day we are all a little bit Irish. Don’t forget to wear something green to school!
WCM will celebrate our own melting pot of diverse talents and backgrounds at our Family Potluck on Friday March 20 from 5:30 to 7:00 in W&L’s Doremus gym. Please bring a dish to share: Pre-Toddler classroom – salad or fruit; Toddler classroom – dessert; Primary I – main dish; Primary II – appetizer. If you have more than one child at WCM, you are welcome to choose one category. See the attached invitation for full details.
W&L will host a Summer Camp Fair this Thursday, March 19 from 10 am to 1:00 pm in the Elrod Commons Living Room. The Camp Fair will have information about many local summer camps, including the WCM summer camp program. We will have our brochure and registration materials, so please stop by our table if you come to the Fair.
The Kohl Family Farm has invited WCM to visit on Saturday, March 21 at 12 pm. They have more than 40 baby goats! Please wear appropriate shoes and clothing for a farm visit. The goats do not like to be wet so if there is more than a 50% chance of rain in the forecast, we will postpone to another time.
The address of the Farm is 191 Reservation Loop, Glasgow VA 24555. They are not really in Glasgow but just off Rt. 11 heading towards Natural Bridge. About a mile and a half before the Safari Park. Please RSVP if you plan to attend.
