Dear Parents:
One of the great strengths of a Montessori classroom is its educational materials. The materials are designed to emphasize concrete learning through hands-on manipulation. They are self-correcting in that they encourage children to discover their own errors rather than be told that they are wrong. They provide discipline and independence and, above all, they help our children find for themselves an early and individualized love of learning.
Next week, we will be sending home Small Hands, a catalog of Montessori educational materials. If you are interested in purchasing any items, please send your order form back to the school by October 1st, and we will be happy to place a group order for you. Woods Creek Montessori will receive 10-15% of the order total which will be used to purchase educational materials for our classrooms.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow at Applebee’s for Saturday morning breakfast between 8 and 10 am.
Important Dates:
- September 13: Applebee’s Breakfast Fundraiser
